An independent commission has announced that hearings regarding 115 financial violations by Manchester City will commence soon, as reported by The Times based on its sources.
According to the source, the review of allegations against Manchester City for breaching Premier League financial regulations will begin in mid to late September, rather than the previously anticipated November, assuming no further delays occur.
The entire process is expected to last approximately ten weeks, with a final verdict expected in early 2025.
Manchester City will need to account for 115 breaches of financial rules over the past 14 seasons, dating back to the 2009/2010 season.
It’s important to note that the investigation into Manchester City began back in 2018. Should the violations be confirmed, the club could face serious penalties, including potential relegation.
In April 2024, Premier League CEO Richard Masters disclosed that a date for the hearing concerning Manchester City's financial violations had been set, though the organization did not reveal the exact date.
According to Sky Sports, all English clubs are advocating for Manchester City to be excluded from the Premier League if the team is found guilty of breaching financial regulations.
