Manchester City are interested in bringing back their former club captain, Ilkay Gündogan, just a year after he left for Barcelona. Ilkay Gündogan did not participate in the opening match of the season for Barcelona against Valencia and looks set to leave.
According to a report, Manchester City have made contact with the 33-year-old German star over a potential return for the midfielder to Etihad, although there is interest in the midfielder from Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
Gündogan spent seven seasons at the Etihad Stadium, winning five league titles and the Champions League, but departed for Catalonia in 2023 at the end of his contract.
