Manchester City and Ilkay Gundogan have reached a full agreement to re-sign midfielder Ilkay Gundogan on a free transfer from FC Barcelona.
The 33-year-old midfielder will sign a one-year contract with City, with the option of a further 12 months. He is set to undergo his medical ahead of his return to Etihad for a second spell, re-signing for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Gundogan made 51 appearances for Barcelona last season but has agreed to leave the Catalan club following discussions with club executives and newly-appointed manager Hansi Flick.
