Madrid's Atletico is planning to part ways with 30-year-old Dutch forward Memphis Depay in the upcoming transfer window, as reported by the AS website.
According to the sources, the footballer is not part of head coach Diego Simeone's plans for the next season. Thus, the club is open to offers from interested buyers. Alvaro Morata, who wishes to return to Serie A, will also be put up for transfer.
Memphis Depay joined Atletico in January 2023. The 30-year-old forward's contract with the Madrid club is set to expire in the summer of 2025. In the current season, Depay has played 28 matches for Atletico, scoring nine goals and providing two assists. Transfermarkt values the footballer at €12 million.
It was also revealed that the Dutchman helped former Barcelona defender Dani Alves post bail of one million euros to be released from prison.
