Luis Suárez Bites Opponent Again — This Time It’s Jordi Alba

Inter Miami forward Luis Suárez found himself at the center of a scandal during the second leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup quarterfinal against Los Angeles FC (3–1).

In the 89th minute, a scuffle broke out between teammates, during which the Uruguayan bit defender Jordi Alba’s finger and then pressed on his neck area. The Spanish player dropped to the ground after the incident.

This marks at least the ninth known instance of Suárez biting an opponent. Previous victims include Branislav Ivanović, Otman Bakkal, and Giorgio Chiellini.
