Right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold was forced to leave the field during the 11th round of English Premier League (EPL) match against Aston Villa (2-0) due to an injury in the 25th minute of the game.
Information about the nature of Alexander-Arnold's injury has not yet been disclosed, but Liverpool head coach Arne Slot confirmed that the player will not be able to participate in the matches with the England national team. It is expected that the player will be out for four weeks.
It should be noted that Real Madrid are showing serious interest in the English defender, who has been planning to sign the player as a free agent in 2025.
However, according to Spanish media, due to the large number of injuries in Real's squad, the club is willing to purchase the Liverpool's hall-of-famer during the upcoming winter transfer window.
Liverpool currently lead the EPL table with 28 points.
Alexander-Arnold is a product of Liverpool academy and has been playing for the club's first team since July 2016. He has played a total of 325 matches for the club, scored 19 goals and made 83 assists.
