The English Football Association has imposed sanctions on Liverpool's head coach Arne Slot, suspending him for two matches and fining him approximately €80,000.
The punishment is related to the incident that took place after the postponed match of the 15th round of the Premier League against Everton, which ended in a 2-2 draw. This information was published on the organization's official website.
According to their statement, Slot's behavior was deemed unacceptable. He allegedly used offensive language and acted inappropriately towards the referees after the game.
It is emphasized that Arne Slot admitted his guilt. The assistant coach, Sipke Hulshoff, received a similar suspension. The clubs Everton and Liverpool were also fined €78,000 and €60,000, respectively.
Following the final whistle, a major confrontation broke out between the players on the field.
