Former England national team player Gary Lineker has stated that the departure of Gareth Southgate as the head coach of the Three Lions is not out of the question.

I suspect Gareth Southgate may have had enough. It is a tough, gruelling job.
The coach has been leading the England national team since September 2016. Under his guidance, the team has played 102 matches, winning 64, with 18 losses and 20 draws.
Former England national team player Rio Ferdinand said that he is dissatisfied with the national team's results under Southgate's leadership considering the level of the current generation of players.
