Italian goalkeeper Fabio Cudicini has passed away at the age of 89. This was reported by the press service of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).
Cudicini spent his entire career in Italy, playing for Ponziana, Udinese, Roma, Brescia, and AC Milan. With AC Milan, he won the European Cup (now known as the UEFA Champions League). Cudicini is also a member of the AC Milan Hall of Fame.
Although Cudicini was called up to the Italian national team several times, he never got the chance to play for the squad.
Fabio was the father of Carlo Cudicini, a former player for Chelsea and Tottenham, who is currently coaching at Fulham.
