Argentinian forward Lautaro Martinez, 26, from Inter Milan has been named the MVP of the recent Italian Serie A season, as reported by the league's press service.
Throughout the season, Martinez played in 33 matches, scoring 24 goals and providing 6 assists, totaling 2667 minutes on the field. Inter Milan secured the championship title in a match against AC Milan, five rounds before the end of Serie A.
Martinez's contract with Inter Milan runs until June 30, 2026, and his market value is estimated at €110 million according to Transfermarkt. Simone Inzaghi, Inter's coach, also received the award for best coach of the season.
