La Liga president Javier Tebas revealed his intention to resign in case of successful implementation and development of the European Super League project.
Recall that on December 21, the European Court of Justice recognized the wrong actions of UEFA and FIFA in relation to the Super League project. Later, a new format of the championship was introduced. It is expected that 64 clubs will take part in it, split into three leagues
Tebas was quoted by El Mundo as saying:
I would leave because Spanish football would be heading for a terrible economic problem. Immediately after the creation of the Super League, our income would be halved. I can't continue with something that would lead to collapse and disaster.
Earlier, the Italian Football Federation criticized the reintroduction of the European Super League. Besides, UEFA President Ceferin called the championship a non-existent project.
