La Liga Clubs Criticize Real Madrid Over New Unify League

Defensa Central has reported that La Liga club Real Madrid faced sharp criticism from other Spanish clubs regarding the project for a new tournament called the "Unify League."

On December 17, it was announced that the European Super League is set to be relaunched under a new name. Organizers, including Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, have already submitted a request to UEFA for the tournament's approval. However, it appears that La Liga clubs are not willing to participate in this new competition.

It was previously reported that the Unify League would feature 96 clubs from all 55 national associations in Europe, including Russia. The tournament is expected to have four divisions: “Star,” “Gold,” “Blue,” and “Union.” The original Super League project was supposed to launch in 2021 but failed due to backlash from fans and experts, as well as the potential for sanctions from UEFA and FIFA.
