Midfielder for the German national team Toni Kroos admitted in an interview with UEFA's press service that he returned to the national team because he believes in their victory at Euro 2024.
In the group stage, the hosts drew with Switzerland (1:1) and won against Hungary (2:0) and Scotland (5:1). In the Euro 2024 Round of 16, Germany secured a 2-0 victory against Denmark.

The idea of returning was tied to the goal of winning the Euros. If I didn't see the chance of achieving it with the team, I wouldn't have done it.
After the end of Euro 2024, the 34-year-old midfielder will end his professional career. Kroos holds the record for the most accurate passes in the Euros.
On July 5, Germany will face Spain in the quarterfinals. The game will start at 19:00 GMT+3.
