The management of Turin's Juventus intends to offer Bologna's coach Thiago Motta a three-year contract worth €4.5 million, as reported by Football Italia.
According to sources, the 41-year-old specialist has decided not to extend his contract with Bologna and will move to the Turin club. It is reported that Motta will sign the agreement with Juventus in the coming days.
On May 17, the press office of the Turin club announced that the team's head coach Massimiliano Allegri was dismissed from his position after Juventus's victory in the Italian Cup against Atalanta (1-0).
Motta took over Bologna in September 2022. The coach's contract is set to run until the summer of 2024. Under the Italian, the Red and Blues have reached the Champions League for the first time in their history.
After 37 rounds, Bologna are in third place in Serie A with 68 points. Juventus have the same number of points, however, they are one place lower due to additional criteria.
Tuttosport reported that former striker and current AC Milan advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic is trying to convince Motta to lead the Rossoneri before the start of the next season.
Sports journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano believes that the Bologna head coach will take over the Turin club.
