Cristiano Giuntoli, the sports director of Juventus, and recently dismissed head coach Thiago Motta reportedly had a heated conversation before the coach's firing.
The official announcement of Motta's departure, who joined the club from Bologna in the summer of 2024, was made on Sunday, March 23. Croatian Igor Tudor has been appointed as the new coach of the Turin team.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Giuntoli told Motta, "I am ashamed of having chosen you." This conversation took place this week in the presence of the club's CEO Maurizio Scanavino.
