The monthly salary of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba in the Turin club will be €2,000 instead of the original €873,000 specified in his contract, because of the failed doping test.
This became known to the publication Goal. The 30-year-old Frenchman is suspended indefinitely because of the second positive test for testosterone. Pogba faces long-term disqualification and possible termination of the employment contract with Juventus if his guilt is proven.
The management of Juventus is not taking drastic measures yet, but it has sent Pogba a notice of a significant salary reduction. The rules stipulate that the disqualified players must be paid minimum wages, provided by the collective bargaining agreement with the Italian Footballers Association. Thus, Paul's salary in the Old Lady will drop to €2,000 per month.
Juventus' contract with Pogba is calculated until the end of the season-2025/26. The Turin club intended to terminate the contract with the player because of doping.
