Cristiano Giuntoli, the technical director of Juventus, has confirmed that 31-year-old French midfielder Paul Pogba will leave the team as a free agent.
Giuntoli is quoted by journalist Fabrizio Romano as saying:
It's very clear: he was a great player and he's been out for a long time. We've invested in other players and the squad is complete.
Fabrizio Romano also reported that Pogba will leave the club as a free agent. The midfielder's contract was set to run until the summer of 2026.
Pogba tested positive for a banned substance on August 20, 2023, with non-endogenous testosterone metabolites found in his sample. In February 2024, he got a four-year ban, which was later reduced to 18 months. He will be able to continue training with Juventus in January and will be clear to play official matches in March.
