Jurgen Klopp's Assistant Becomes Salzburg's New Head Coach

Austrian Bundesliga club Red Bull Salzburg have officially announced the appointment of a new head coach. Starting from the start of the 2024/2025 season, Dutch specialist Pepijn Lijnders will take this position.

At the moment, Lijnders is the assistant head coach of Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool in the English Premier League (EPL). However, he will leave the club at the end of the 2023/2024 season together with the German. The 41-year-old Lijnders is reported to have signed a three-year deal with the Red Bulls and will join the team at the start of pre-season training.

After 22 rounds of the current Austrian Bundesliga, Salzburg, managed by Onur Cinelб have 50 points and lead the standings.
