Florian Plettenberg has reported that former Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is interested in potentially leading the German national team.
Klopp left Liverpool in May 2024. Currently, Julian Nagelsmann is in charge of the German team, which reached the quarterfinals of the home Euro 2024 tournament last summer.
Reports indicate that Klopp's contract with Red Bull includes a clause allowing him to terminate the agreement if the German Football Association makes an offer.
Previously, Germany's sporting director, Rudi Völler, stated that Klopp is the primary candidate to replace Nagelsmann. Klopp himself confirmed last summer that he did not plan to return to coaching duties.
