Germany's head coach Julian Nagelsmann has spoken about the upcoming match in the third round of Group A of the 2024 European Championship against Switzerland and noted the high level of the opponent.
UEFA press service quotes Nagelsmann as saying:
I think Swiss coach Murat Yakin is a great manager who I hold in high esteem. Switzerland are probably the best opponent we have in this group in terms of individual quality.
Julian noted that we shouldn't expect a drastic change of the squad in the match, and that the team will come out in the same way as against Hungary (2:0). Only suspension or disqualification of a player would force him to make adjustments.
The match between Switzerland and Germany will take place today, 23 June, in Frankfurt. The meeting will start at 22:00 GMT+3.
The German national team has secured an early exit to the play-offs of Euro-2024. Switzerland is in second place with 4 points, Scotland (1) is third and Hungary (0) is fourth.
