Ex-coach of Bayern Munich Julian Nagelsmann officially took charge of the German national football team, the press service of the German Football Association (DFB) reported.
The specialist's contract with the association is valid until July 31, 2024. Nagelsmann replaced manager Hans-Dieter Flick, who was fired on September 10 after a crushing defeat in the match against Japan.
The German national team defeated the French national team 2-1 in a friendly match after Flick's resignation. Rudi Voeller, the team's sporting director, acted as head coach in the match.
