England and Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has won the Golden Boy-2023 award, presented annually to the best young footballer in Europe under 21.
Bellingham, 20, became the first Real Madrid player to win the award and the third English footballer to win it after Wayne Rooney (2004) and Raheem Sterling (2014). The award ceremony will take place on December 4 in Turin.
The English midfielder moved to Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund in June 2023. He played 14 matches for his new team this season and scored 13 goals.
Earlier Bellingham was recognized as the best young player of the season-2022/23. Former Manchester United footballer Gary Neville believes that Jude can become the greatest English footballer.
