According to journalist Guillem Balagué on his social media, Lionel Messi, now with Inter Miami and the Argentine national team, does not plan to return to Barcelona.
The source states that despite Messi's desire to play at the renovated Spotify Camp Nou stadium, his transfer to the club will not happen as long as Joan Laporta remains the president. Balagué also claims that Inter Miami will put in efforts to keep Messi on their roster.
It’s worth noting that Messi joined Inter Miami in the summer of 2023, signing a contract valid until the end of 2025. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is estimated at 20 million euros.
From 2004 to 2021, Messi was a key player for Barcelona, participating in 778 matches, scoring 672 goals, and providing 303 assists.
