Roma head coach Jose Mourinho shared his opinion on how his coaching career differs from that of Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri.
Daily Mail quotes Mourinho as saying:
I always respect my opponents. Perhaps this is the difference in a coach who has won 26 titles and another that has barely won anything: that kind of mentality. Every game must be taken seriously, there are no friendlies.
Recall, Lazio head coach called the upcoming match of Roma with Slavia in the group stage of the Europa League "a friendly".
Note that in October, Mourinho served a one-match suspension after a Serie A match with Monza, when he made a crying gesture. The Portuguese addressed the gesture towards the opponents' bench, receiving a red card. He later called the incident a consequence of double standards.
