According to sports journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano, Federico Chiesa, the left winger for Serie A club Juventus and the Italian national team, has expressed his eagerness to join English club Liverpool.
Reports indicate that the 26-year-old forward is excited about the possibility of becoming a player for the Merseyside team. Juventus is reportedly open to letting Chiesa leave and has set a transfer fee at 15 million euros. His current contract is set to expire at the end of June 2025.
This is not the first time Liverpool has attempted to acquire the Italian forward; in January 2023, the Reds had already sought to buy Chiesa from the Turin club for a sum of 60 million euros.
During the 2023/2024 season, Chiesa played in 33 Serie A matches, scoring nine goals and providing three assists. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is currently estimated at 35 million euros.
