Inter defender Francesco Acerbi has been excluded from the Italian national team squad for the upcoming friendly matches in March 2024.
Acerbi has played 34 matches for the national team, scoring one goal since 2014. Acerbi is a European champion.
According to Sky Sport, Acerbi’s exclusion is related to racist remarks towards Juan Jesus from Napoli during a scuffle in the 29th round of the Italian Serie A.
Previously, La Liga president Javier Tebas called Vinicius Junior a "role model in the fight against racism."
