Israeli Teams Set World Record With 56 Penalty Kicks

Clubs of Israeli third-tier league Dimona and Shimshon set a new world record for the longest post-match penalty shootout.

In the post-match penalty shootout, the teams took 56 shots. Dimona celebrated victory, beating their opponents 23-22.

The current longest post-match penalty shootout in the Guinness World Records book is from the 2005 Namibia Cup final, where the teams took a total of 48 penalty kicks.
