Israel national team players ran out of the bus on their way to Tel Aviv airport because of rocket fire from Hamas.
The players were traveling to the qualifying matches for the European Championship - 2024. Israel will play four matches in the November window due to the canceling of the October meetings.
The players reportedly had to hide by the side of the highway because of the shelling. The Israelis were on their way to Tel Aviv airport at the time of the air alert.
Earlier, UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin called the conflict between Hamas and Israel a senseless act of violence.
The Israeli national team is in third place in the qualifying group with 11 points after six matches, behind Romania and Switzerland.
