The official website of UEFA reports that the game of the eighth round of the group stage of qualification for the European championship 2024 between the national teams of Belgium and Sweden will not be finished.
Recall that on October 16, the match between Belgium and Sweden, held in Brussels at the King Baudouin Stadium, was interrupted when the score was 1:1 because of the information about the shooting near the arena. Two Swedish fans were killed in the incident, and the gunman was shot during arrest by the police and died on the way to hospital.
The score after the first half will be registered as final, both teams will receive one point each and the warnings will remain in force.
The result of the match does not change the balance of power in Group F for these teams: the Belgians, led by Domenico Tedesco, have 17 points after seven rounds. They are in first place and they have advanced to the final part of the Euro early. Janne Andersson's Swedes have seven points after six rounds and are in third place of the group, without a chance of qualifying from the group.
