UEFA have paid Inter Milan financial compensation for the cardiac arrest of midfielder Christian Eriksen at Euro 2020, reports Calciomercato.

According to the source, the amount of compensation was €3 million. UEFA had to pay this sum because the Dane's heart stopped during a match under the auspices of UEFA. It happened during the meeting of the Danish national team at Euro 2020 against Finland. After that, the player had to install a subcutaneous defibrillator.

The 30-year-old Eriksen currently plays for Manchester United in the AFL. The player has played 15 games in all competitions this season, recording four assists.
