Inter Miami's Head Coach Gerardo Martino criticized his team's lack of motivation after their crushing defeat to the New York Red Bulls.
In the away match in the MLS, Inter lost 0-4, with star striker Lionel Messi, an eight-time Ballon d'Or winner, sidelined due to a thigh muscle injury.

There is not much to say, except that we were outmatched from start to finish. Red Bulls had the desire to win and we had no desire to compete. The absence of the best player in the world is important for everyone -- but last week with D.C. Leo didn't play either.

According to sources, the MLS leadership is interested in attracting a player to the league who can rival Messi in terms of popularity. It was reported that Inter Miami needs to trim their payroll due to the high salary of the Argentine forward.
