American football club Inter Miami has announced the transfer of Argentine defender Marcelo Weigandt, who previously played for Boca Juniors in the Argentinian league.
According to a statement on the club's official website, a loan agreement with the 24-year-old player has been signed until the end of the 2024 season with an option to extend for another season.
Weigandt played 72 matches for Boca Juniors, scoring three goals and making seven assists.
Weigandt will be the seventh Argentine player for Inter Miami, joining compatriots Lionel Messi, Facundo Farías, Franco Negri, Federico Redondo, Nicolás Freire, and Tomás Avilés.
