Former midfielder of Barcelona and the Spanish national team Andres Iniesta signed a contract with the UAE club Emirates. This is reported by the press service of the 39-year-old midfielder's new team.
The agreement between the parties is designed for one year. Earlier, the media reported that the contract of the Spanish footballer will have an option to extend the contract for one more season.
In early July, Iniesta left the Japanese Vissel Kobe, where he had played for since 2018.
As part of Barcelona, Iniesta became the champion of Spain nine times and won the Champions League four times. The footballer played 131 matches and scored 14 goals for the Spanish national team. He twice became European champion and won the 2010 World Cup with the national team.
