The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has published a ranking of the best head coaches since 1996 on its official website.
The rating was headed by former Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson, who earned 257 points. Second place went to Roma's Portuguese coach Josè Mourinho (242 points), with third place taken by Spanish coach Pep Guardiola, who leads Manchester City (221 points).
Top-15 list also includes Arsène Wenger (211), Joachim Löw (200), Carlo Ancelotti (189), Vicente del Bosque (175), Diego Simeone (168), Marcello Lippi (156), Didier Deschamps (164), Luiz Felipe Scolari (151), Guus Hiddink (145), Marcelo Bielsa (145), Ottmar Hitzfeld (134), and Jürgen Klopp (127).
Ferguson, 81, currently a member of Manchester United's board of directors, led the Mancunians indefinitely for 26 years (from 1986 to 2013). During that time, the specialist won a record number of titles, including 13 EPL victories and two Champions League victories (1999, 2008). United has won more trophies under Ferguson's leadership than in its entire previous century-long history.
