The International Football Association Board (IFAB) plans to introduce short-term (ten-minute) removal of players from the field for disagreement with the decision of the head referee of the match, reports The Times.
This innovation is now in effect in English youth football. It is also planned to introduce a new rule, whereby only the team captain will be able to appeal to the referee.
The rule changes will be discussed at the next IFAB meeting.
