Manchester United newcomer Rasmus Højlund revealed which of the great Mancunian players he considers his idol and what he would like to learn from him.
Rasmus Højlund, quoted by United Stand
Of course, Cristiano [Ronaldo] was my idol when he was playing back then, so I kept following him and of course kept following Manchester United. I think there's an interview - the reporter asked them 'Who's the best football player in the world?' and he [Ronaldo] just said 'Me'. I like this mentality, that's the same mentality I go for.
Recall, Hojlund became a player of the Red Devils this summer. Last season he played for Atalanta, having moved there in the summer of 2022 from the Austrian Sturm for €17.2 million. The Dane played 42 games in all competitions, scoring 16 goals and making seven assists.
