Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright expressed his opinion on the performance of Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo at Euro 2024.
Wright said according to Daily Mail:
What I saw of him, he can’t cut it at this level now. As good as he is, as fit as he is, as driven as he is, you can see he just can’t quite get it out of his feet to get a shot in, the movement with a header, he can’t get past a defender now.
Ronaldo has been playing for the Portuguese national team since 2003. In February 2007, the forward made his debut as team captain. He has been recognized as the best player in the history of Portuguese football by the Portuguese Football Federation.
Cristiano Ronaldo set a personal record, touching the ball an average of 29.1 times per match during Euro 2024 matches.
