Striker of English football club Manchester City Erling Haaland resumed training after injury, the press service of the Citizens reports.
On December 10, before the match of Matchday 16 of the English Premier League against Luton Town (2:1), the Norwegian forward suffered a stress fracture of the foot and is out of action until the end of the year.
Haaland has played 22 matches in all tournaments this season, scored 19 goals and made five assists.
Man City are in third place in the English league table with 40 points. In the next match on January 13, Josep Guardiola's team will play away with Newcastle. There is no information yet on whether Haaland will have time to fully recover by then.
Earlier, Haaland was recognized as the best footballer of 2023 by FourFourTwo. Before the injury, the Norwegian scored his 40th goal in the Champions League and surpassed the record of Kylian Mbappe.
