This season, the 26-year-old Swedish striker has scored 38 goals in the Portuguese championship, allowing him to earn 57 points in the Golden Boot standings (factoring in a 1.5 coefficient), surpassing Mohamed Salah, Liverpool's forward, who previously held the top spot with 28 goals and 56 points (with a 2 coefficient).
Barcelona's Robert Lewandowski with 50 points rounds out the top three, followed closely by Bayern's Harry Kane and Atlanta's Mateo Retegui, both with 48 points.
Sporting lead the Portuguese league table, boasting 75 points.
