Midfielder Ilkay Gundogan of Barcelona told CBS Sports that he is disappointed with his team's performance in the Champions League quarter-final second leg against PSG.
In the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final, Barcelona won with a score of 3-2 against PSG at Parc des Princes in Paris. However, in the second leg, Luis Enrique's team overpowered Barcelona, defeating them 4-1 at Camp Nou. In the 29th minute of the first half, Barcelona's central defender Ronald Araujo received a red card.
I am disappointed. Very disappointed actually as we were in such a good position. Not just after the first leg, but after the first goal we scored. Everything was in our hands and we just gave it away in the most simple of manners. We just gave it to Paris Saint-Germain, and that's the most disappointing part.
This season, Ilkay Gundogan has scored five goals and provided 11 assists in 45 matches for Barcelona.
Transfermarkt website estimates the German midfielder at 16 million euros.
Earlier it was reported that UEFA is considering possible sanctions against Araujo for his gesture after being sent off in the match against PSG.
