Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has stated that Liverpool, under the management of Jürgen Klopp, has been the toughest opponent he has faced in his coaching career.

Jürgen Klopp took over as manager of Liverpool on October 8, 2015. Since then, the 56-year-old coach has won seven trophies with the club. Under Klopp's leadership, Liverpool have claimed victories in the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, League Cup, FA Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup. At the end of last season, Klopp left Liverpool and was succeeded by Dutch coach Arne Slot.
Recently, Klopp was appointed as the global head of football for Red Bull. In his new role, he will advise all teams owned by the brand, which includes RB Leipzig, Red Bull Salzburg, Bragantino, New York Red Bulls, and Liefering, on coaching strategies, transfers, and player development.
