Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola has spoken about the potential transfer of Barcelona and Spain winger Lamine Yamal to the English club.

Rodri tells me great things about Lamine Yamal. He’s exceptional. This generation I don’t know what their parents have given them, but they go like airplanes. Cubarsi, Pedri, Balde, Lamine and many others. They are too good. They are not for sale – the president told me.
Yamal is a pupil of the Barcelona academy. Since August 2023, the footballer has been playing for the first team. Last season the player took part in 50 matches in all tournaments for the club, scoring seven goals and making nine assists.
His contract with the Catalan club is signed until the end of June 2026. Transfermarkt website estimates the market value of the 17-year-old winger at 120 million euros.
According to Sport.es, agent Jorge Mendes, who represents Yamal's interests, expects to get a salary increase for his client at Barcelona.
Earlier, Josep Guardiola admitted in a conversation with journalist Fabrizio Romano that he will not return to the Catalan club as a coach.
