Josep Guardiola, quoted by Sky Sports
A sad day. I can say more names, these three are examples. It’s a sad day. But still we have 10 games, and hopefully 11, six games at home that still we can enjoy with our fans and he will get – I’m pretty sure – the love and recognition that all of us, fans of course, that he deserves. One of the greatest midfielders ever to have played in this country.
De Bruyne has been with Manchester City since 2015. This season, he has played 31 matches for the club across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing seven assists.
On Friday, April 4, the 33-year-old Belgian announced that he would be leaving the English team at the end of the current season.
