Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola became the first specialist in history to reach the Champions League semi-finals ten times.
He is followed by Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti (nine times). Guardiola has reached the semifinals four times with Barcelona, three times with Bayern and also three times with City.
It is worth noting that only three of the ten times have resulted in finals for his teams (Barcelona in the 2008/09 and 2010/11 seasons and Manchester City in 2020/21).
In the quarterfinals of the current draw, Guardiola's team beat Bayern (3-0, 1-1).
Thus, in the semi-finals of the tournament the team will play against Real Madrid, which had previously proved stronger than Chelsea.
