Manchester City coach Josep Guardiola answered the question of whether City forward Erling Haaland is better than his ex-Barcelona ward Lionel Messi.
The 22-year-old Norwegian forward scored a hat trick against Manchester United (6-3) in the October 2 Manchester derby in the EPL, bringing his current season total to 17 goals in all competitions.
"The difference, maybe, is that Erling needs all of his teammates to do things like that. And that's unbelievable. But Messi has the ability to do it alone," the Daily Mail quoted Guardiola as saying.
Manchester City is second in the EPL standings after eight rounds, one point behind the leading Arsenal. Guardiola's team has 20 points. In the next match of the championship the "citizens" will play against Southampton. The meeting will take place on October 8.
