Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola has commented on the charges brought against Barcelona regarding the case of bribing referees. The Spaniard was in charge of the Catalans from 2008 to 2012.
The Mirror quotes Guardiola as saying:
What I’m pretty sure is when Barcelona won, it was because they were better than the opponents. That I’m pretty convinced about right now – in our day. But justice will decide what really happened.
After the investigation, the Catalans may face disqualification from European competitions and relegation to the Segunda.
Also the coach of the Citizens spoke about the leadership of Girona in the current season of La Liga, and talked about the aim he set for his charges in the new season of the Champions League.
