Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has offered advice to his former club, FC Barcelona, which is currently led by German coach Hans-Dieter Flick.
From my perspective, Barça should not change its model. From the outside, everyone sees Barça as something different. This club exudes charisma, a unique essence.
The Spaniard managed Barcelona from 2008 to 2012, during which time the team won 14 trophies, including three La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey trophies, two Champions League titles, two UEFA Super Cups, two Club World Cups, and three Spanish Super Cups.
Since 2016, Guardiola has been managing Manchester City and has also coached Bayern Munich (2013-2016) and Barcelona's youth team (2007-2008).
Currently, Barcelona are leading the La Liga standings with 30 points after 11 rounds, six points ahead of their nearest rival, Real Madrid.
Guardiola has previously assured that he will never return to Barcelona.
