The online portal Goal.com has published its version of the rankings for favorites to win the Ballon d'Or from France Football for 2024. The list features 20 footballers.
Leading the rankings is left winger Vinícius Júnior from La Liga club Real Madrid and the Brazilian national team. In second place is midfielder Rodri from English club Manchester City and the Spanish national team, the 2024 European champion. Rounding out the top three is another Real Madrid player, Jude Bellingham, a midfielder for the England national team.
The 68th Ballon d'Or ceremony organized by France Football will take place on October 28, 2024, at the Châtelet Theatre in Paris. The list of nominees for the award will be announced on September 4.
On August 27, 24-year-old Vinícius shared in an interview with CNN that he has several examples of players who have won the award and believe in the forward's chances of receiving the accolade.
