After the German national team was eliminated from the European Football Championship on home soil, a fight broke out between English and German fans, as reported by the Daily Mail.
On Friday, July 5, the Germans lost to Spain in the quarterfinal match with a score of 1:2 in extra time and exited the tournament. Following the match, English fans began to mock the German supporters and chant offensive slogans towards them. This led to a scuffle where English fans threw beer at the Germans. The conflict was resolved with the help of the police.
The English national team will play against Switzerland in the Euro 2024 quarterfinals. The match will also take place in Dusseldorf on July 6, starting at 19:00 GMT+3.
Earlier, Germany midfielder Toni Kroos thanked the fans of his team for their support.
