Former Manchester United footballer Gary Neville has spoken out about the situation at the club amid the acquisition of 25% of the English powerhouse's shares by billionaire Jim Ratcliffe.
After this deal, Joel and Avram Glazer are no longer the sole owners of the club, which they purchased in 2005 for more than one billion dollars.
The former player of the Red devils wrote on his social networks:
Manchester United 2023 has been a disgrace to the end. The timing of this is truly awful and no functioning organization would even think about it. Anyway all the very best to Jim Ratcliffe and I hope he can somehow work out a way to get the club right again and back to being something respectable on and off the pitch.
Earlier it became known that Manchester United set an anti-record among the EPL clubs in the Champions League on conceded goals for the group stage (15).
In the current ranking of the EPL MU is in eighth place after 18 rounds. Also Erik ten Hag's wards have dropped out of the Champions League group from last place.
